Tax Advantaged & Planned Giving

Other ways to support

If you’re looking for a tax-smart way to support our work and mission, consider a gift of stock. When you give appreciated stock that you’ve owned for over a year, you can avoid capital gains tax and receive a charitable income tax deduction when you itemize.

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is like a charitable savings account. You give to a single fund and qualify for a tax deduction, without immediately having to choose the charities you want to support. You then recommend grants to support the Women’s Center or other charitable organizations without having to retain records of separate contributions.

Another popular gifting option, known as the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), or IRA rollover, is a simple way to make an impact. If you are 70½ years old or older, you can give any amount up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to The Women’s Center without having to pay income taxes on the money.
