Our virtual Summer Showcase Series concludes with a presentation on August 12 that provides insight into crisis response for rape survivors, outlining The Women’s Center’s local partnerships with the Sexual Assault Nurse Examination program and others to ensure all sexual assault survivors have an advocate alongside them for support throughout the process.

Our featured presenters include:

  • Jake Eisch, Director of Student Conduct & Violence Prevention at Carroll University
  • Debra Donovan, RN, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program Coordinator for Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin

ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS:
Jake Eisch has worked at Carroll University for over 11 years in a variety of roles including Residence Life and Housing, Student Activities, Volunteer/Community Engagement. In his current role, Jake now oversees student conduct/discipline documentation, hearings and sanctioning as well as the daily operations of the Office of Violence Prevention (OVP). OVP serves to educate and engage the campus community in exploring social and systemic factors that contribute to the perpetuation of gender based violence and sexual misconduct.

Debra Donovan has 25+ years of experience as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and has been the SANE Program Coordinator for Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin since 2014. She served as a board member of Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA) from 2005-2010 and has presented to Wisconsin Legislative Committees for the Compassionate Care for Rape Victims. Deb was awarded the WCASA Voices of Courage Award for Health Services in 2010 and the Health Care Hero from BizTimes in 2012.
