Domestic Violence Advocate

  • Position: Full-time, some evenings and rotating weekends required.
  • Summary:  The primary responsibility of this position is to provide trauma processing and supportive services while serving as an advocate to adult victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse and assault.

Shelter Advocate

  • Position: Full-time, multiple shift
  • Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide coverage for the domestic violence shelter and the 24-hour hotline and provide guidance, advocacy and support to shelter residents.

Shelter Advocate (2nd Shift)

  • Position: Full-time, 2nd shift, 32 hours
  • Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide coverage for the domestic violence shelter and the 24-hour hotline including advocacy and support to shelter residents and callers.

Shelter Advocate (3rd Shift)

  • Position: Full-time, 3rd shift, weekend
  • Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide 3rd shift coverage for the domestic violence shelter and the 24-hour Hotline, and advocacy and support to shelter residents.

The Women’s Center is proud to be part of the Housing Action Coalition (HAC) of Waukesha County, a consortium addressing homelessness in our county. HAC is now hiring for a Program Coordinator, and application details are included in the posting below.

Program Coordinator

  • Position: 40 hours/week
  • Summary: To provide administrative support for the HAC Administrative Board that represents the Waukesha County region to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The HAC Program Coordinator will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the HAC Board, coalition members and other community stakeholders.

Summary: Undergraduate internships are offered year round. They are designed for students who are interested in learning about the full scope of our agency and include duties such as donation sorting, client childcare, front desk support, and clerical/administrative tasks.
