Community Fundraising Events
One way you can volunteer and raise money to support our mission is by hosting a fundraiser on behalf of The Women’s Center! It’s an opportunity for you to be as creative as you like and engage your friends, family, and colleagues to support our work and raise awareness of our services.
It’s only through partners like you that we are able to continue providing around the clock support to survivors in our community.

Fundraising Ideas
Host an Event
You can host an event at a local business, your home, a golf outing, and ask participants to pay a fee or make a donation. You can also organize a bake sale, lemonade stand, or car wash. If you are participating in a run/walk/roll event, you can ask friends and family for pledges. Bake/food sales are easy to organize by themselves or in tandem with another event to raise proceeds. You can also host a Facebook fundraiser for your birthday or throughout the year.
Workplace Giving
Offer matching gifts for your employees, or donations based on volunteer service or participation in awareness days such as Denim Day or Purple Thursday. Let employees wear jeans for a day if they make a donation, raffle off an extra PTO day or, buy pizza for the team who raises the most money. You can also allow customers to add donations onto their transactions.
In-kind drives
The Women’s Center provides clients with NEW items only, as we have a limited amount of storage space for many items. If you are considering hosting an in-kind drive, please reach out to confirm what are high-need items and that we have space for them.

Whether you host a community event or plan a cause-related marketing partnership through your organization, we are grateful for your interest in partnering with us! Once you have an idea for an event or partnership, please submit your plan here, and we will contact you within two weeks. Fundraisers and cause-related marketing partnerships benefiting The Women’s Center need to be pre-approved.
We do not provide support in planning events – that’s all up to you! While we are happy to provide existing TWC flyers and brochures, we do not assist in creating any materials. We cannot guarantee that a representative from TWC will be able to be present at your event. We have the discretion on which events we will promote to our networks including on social media, and we reserve the right to decline any donation.
