Violence Prevention Advocate

Position: Part–time, 24 hours/week. Some evening and weekend hours required.

Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to be a public representative of The Women’s Center providing community education and prevention programming related to the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault and abuse, with a focus on working with children, youth and young adults.

Shelter Advocate (3rd Shift)

Position: Full–time, 3rd Shift

Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide 3rd shift coverage for the domestic violence shelter, the 24-Hour Hotline, and provide guidance, advocacy and support to shelter residents.

Shelter Support Staff

Position: No set hours; this is an on-call position to fill-in vacant shifts. All three shifts and weekends are needed.

Summary: To ensure smooth operation of the shelter, while providing for the needs of the clients and performing the duties relative to the shift. Support staff are expected to provide on-call coverage of the 24 hour crisis line and shelter. This includes advocacy and support to clients.
